Bachelor, master or ...?
Information about the qualifications, which you can achieve at the University of Bremen and the individual study offered for this.
The University of Bremen has converted all its degrees to the Bachelor-/Master system. Bachelor and Master degrees are tiered. After a Bachelor of 6 semesters (exceptionally 7 semesters), you leave the university with a first professionally qualifying university degree. Or go on to study on a 3- to 4-semester Master's program.
The teacher training program consists of three parts: the Bachelor the Master's program based on it, and a Referendariat [mandatory school teaching practice]. The so-called Master of Education is equivalent to the former First State Examination. The Master's program is followed by an 18-month period of school teaching practice which ends with a second exam.
Law studies comprise two parts, studies in law and the Referendariat [practical legal internship]. The first state exam will be done at the end of the 9-semester course. After a subsequent 24-month legal internship, a second state exam will be taken.
